Duties: The position provides strategic direction and oversees execution of all plans and activities of district's
employee benefits, medical and educational leaves of absence, Workers' Compensation,
unemployment, tuition reimbursement, performance management, classified and non-school based
evaluations, and employee assistance programs; oversees renewal and termination of teacher and
administration contracts; performs internal consulting functions across a complex organization as it
relates to improved organizational effectiveness, management, and performance development.
Provides direction and oversight of all employee benefits, Workers' Compensation, transitional
work, unemployment, medical leaves of absence, tuition reimbursement, and performance
management ensuring compliance with related labor contracts and legal requirements;
Directs daily activities of assigned staff, including hiring, training, counseling, evaluating staff
performance, and when necessary, discipline and/or termination of staff;
Develops long range benefit plan objectives; monitors administrative cost and recommends cost
containment strategies including alternative methods of administration and funding;
Develops and facilitates RFP process to ensure and maintain contract service competitiveness;
Works closely with district's physician and Director of Health, Family & Community Services to
coordinate employee return to work and fitness for duty;
Provides assistance and consultation to district staff interpreting human resources
policies/procedures and addressing a variety of staffing issues; ensures accurate employee
records/files; ensures confidentially of all records and information including HIPPA;
Prepares and administers departmental budget(s); ensures expenditures are within approved
Oversees professional staff development; ensures department staff maintains credentials;
Resolves problems / situations in a collaborative, tactful, courteous, and respectful manner;
Analyzes data, implements, and tracks metrics and reports outcomes;
Performs other duties assigned.

A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a master's degree
or SRHR certification is preferred; and 7 years of progressive human resources experience with at
least 3 years of managerial or supervisory experience. A viable combination of education and
experience will be considered.

Wage or Salary: $103,321

Approximate Work Hours or Days: 5 days a week
