Duties: The Springfield City School District is seeking a Director of Federal Programs. The successful candidate will possess the following Minimum Qualifications:

*Valid State of Ohio teacher’s license or administrative
*Master’s Degree in Education or related field with an
emphasis in administration preferred
*Minimum 5 years successful teaching experience and/or
experience in administrative assignment within a school
*Proficient in ODE Grant Compliance and funding modules
*Proficient in the use of spreadsheet programs including
Microsoft Excel and Google Spreadsheets
*Demonstrated written and oral communication skills

Experience Required: Essential Functions include but are not limited to the following:

*Supervises the Coordinator of Federal Programs, ESL
Teachers, Even Start, McKinney Vento and Hispanic
Outreach; ensuring program alignment and accountability
*Serve as the leader and general resource person in matters
pertaining to Federal & State Programs.
*Directs the district’s compensatory programs including all
Federal programs listed in any reauthorization of the
Elementary and Secondary Education Act
*Coordinates, articulates, and is responsible for the writing
and submission of federal grants
*Collaborates with District leadership in the development of
District improvement plan
*Develops and administers federal program budgets;
remaining current on program requirements
*Directs the preparation of annual reports as required by
state and federal programs
*Serves as the liaison between the individual schools and
other agencies on all projects expected to involve District
schools and can be federally funded
*Oversee the coordination and processing for all Title I
programs; conducting research activities, compiling data
reports, initiating surveys and authorizing budgets
*Serve as liaison to non-public schools on Title I
matters; coordinating applications, evaluations, and data
*Communicates, collaborates, and cooperates with
colleagues and designated committee groups; including
teachers, principals, and laypersons in specific programs,
projects, and action steps
*Maintains an ongoing evaluation of program effectiveness;
recommending adjustments as needed
*Studies federal legislation, projects and programs
anticipating the offering of educational grants, entitlements
and allocations that are relevant to District need
*Tracks and records data to fulfill the requirements of the *Consolidated Continuous Improvement Plan (CCIP)
*Evaluates all state and federally funded grants and
entitlements operating within the District; creating a
process for ongoing review and reallocation of funds
*Attends Board of Education, Cabinet, District Principal and
District Leadership Team meetings
*Oversees the preparation of reports and records required by
law, Board policy, and/or administrative directive
*Serves as a member of the Superintendent's Cabinet and
Leadership Team

Wage or Salary: Starting salary is in accordance with the negotiated agreement, increases with experience and education. Salary details available online at (SASO/SAST agreement)

Approximate Work Hours or Days: Directors work 234 days per school year.
