Duties: Grandview Heights Schools is seeking a capable and motivated Systems Administrator to maintain and continue to improve the technology services provided which directly impact the district's ability to personalize and maximize every student's learning.

Administer and secure all district network equipment, file servers, computer systems, printers, and other network enabled devices to maximize interoperability and reliability
Collaborate with vendors and third parties on technology related projects and repairs
Secure district data, data backups, and content access
Configure, support and provide account management for servers, content services, and messaging systems
Research and procure new technology equipment and initiatives
Provide hardware and software support for end user equipment
Manage district technology inventory including 1:1 assigned devices
Make modifications and updates to district websites
Manage and supervise Technology and Network Specialist
Oversee and monitor technology budget accounts
Work closely with 21st Century Learning Coaches
Work closely with EMIS & Data Coordinator
Perform other duties assigned

Minimum two years technical training
Two years’ experience with Apple, iOS and Windows administration
Two years’ experience with GAFE or Google Admin Certification
Two years’ experience configuring TCP/IP network devices
Equivalent combination of training and experience
Preference given to applicant with public school experience

Ability to exercise appropriate initiative and work independently

Participate in the technology committee, data meetings, and other groups and organizations as assigned
Engage and/or consult with the outside service providers as needed; for example, leasing agents, technicians, and state consultants
Design and coordinate training programs and activities for people without technical training
Educate and train staff on adopted technology
Engage in continuous professional growth, including attending pertinent workshops and training

Maintain an appropriate personal appearance
Observe all safety, health, and confidentiality regulations of the school district
Serve as a role model in the practice of ethical principles, responsible behavior, and democratic values
Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or Designee

Willingness to become trained and proficient in the current and future system(s) used by the school district
Ability to organize and prioritize work
Well developed oral and written communication skills
Sound judgment and problem solving skills
Ability to work cooperatively with all staff and to interact with staff, students, and the public in a positive manner

Various office machines, such as copiers, fax machines, and scanners

Potential exposure to blood or other bodily fluids and tissue
Exposure to potentially dangerous equipment
Occasional operation of a vehicle in inclement weather
Regular requirement to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, see, and read
Regular requirement to lift equipment, up to 50 lbs

Length of Employment: One Year Limited Contract
Salary: Commensurate with Experience
