Treasurer/CFO - Groveport Madison Schools

Groveport Madison Schools, in Franklin County, is seeking applicants for the position of Treasurer/CFO. The new Treasurer/CFO will assume responsibilities in January 2020. Finding Leaders and the Ohio Association of School Business Officials (OASBO) are assisting the Board in its search for an outstanding Treasurer/CFO.

This central office position reports directly to the Board of Education and is responsible for all financial matters for the district including but not limited to the following:

  • Promotion of student learning through sound fiscal management

  • Financial Manager

  • Communicator and Collaborator

  • Participates in shared district leadership with the superintendent

  • Utilizes data-based decision making

Qualifications/Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be a proven leader with a thorough understanding of the State of Ohio finance system and system of accountability.

  • At least a bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Ohio Treasurer’s Certificate/License

  • Successful leadership experience in school finance

  • Successful experience in levy modeling and planning

  • Strong team leadership skills and demonstrated ability to work cooperatively as a member of an administrative team

  • Ability to create and maintain an atmosphere of respect and trust
